Actor Milind Gunaji, who worked with Shah Rukh Khan in Devdas, shared a touching story about how SRK showed concern for him during a challenging time. In an interview with Rajshri Unplugged, Milind revealed that he tragically lost his father while filming the movie, and Shah Rukh Khan was prepared to stop the shoot to support him and make sure he was okay.

The actor recalled, “I remember Shah Rukh, he is such a gentleman and a nice person. He used to come and sit with me. He told me that he was feeling sorry about this and said that if something needs to stop, they will stop. He said that there won’t be any problem, and they can stop the shoot. Sanjay sir also told me the same thing.”

Milind also remembered the time-consuming shoot of Dola Re Dola. He shared that despite being on set for almost three days, he wasn’t called for the shoot due to an issue. He said, “On the set, a long shot was happening where Madhuri and Aishwarya were both moving forward and backward, with all the dancers dancing. Somewhere, some technical mistake was happening; there was a bit of awkwardness. I felt that Madhuri ji had hurt her leg. So, I thought that it wouldn’t happen so quickly because whatever Sanjay ji needed, he would take it and make it happen.” during the filming, there was a shot using a handheld camera. Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit moved gracefully, but a technical glitch caused some awkwardness. Knowing that Sanjay Leela Bhansali would take the necessary time to fix it, Milind patiently waited for his turn.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus, Devdas, is a commercially successful movie that hit the theatres in 2002. From extravagant sets to elaborate dance sequences, Devdas won the hearts of the audience with its heartbreaking storyline, soulful songs and exceptional performances.
